Meet the Siberian Husky Breed
Welcome to the captivating world of Siberian Huskies, a breed as unique and spirited as they come. Known for their mesmerizing blue or multicolored eyes and stunning facial masks, Siberian Huskies carry a heritage rich with endurance and versatility. The breed originated from Siberia, they were bred to pull sleds over vast frozen expanses. Today, they bring the same loyalty and adventurous spirit into the homes of their families.
Unique Bloodlines at Halo Huskies
Many of our breeding pairs feature distinct, rare lineage including hapolotype C1. We make our Embark DNA tests available on our Dames and Sires page when possible.
This is an exotic lineage shared by many of our dogs. It is more closely associated with maternal lineages found in wolves, foxes and jackals than with domestic dog lineages. Dogs in this group have a common male dog ancestor who, many thousands of years ago, mated with a female wolf! It is rarely found amongst Labrador Retrievers, Border Collies, Siberian Huskies, or Cocker Spaniels.
